More fabulous trends to incorporate into your fall wardrobe this season...
4) Welcome to the Zoo
Big last year, it is big again this year! Leather skirts and dresses are a grown-up version of the leather trend; if you’re younger, try a cute leather jacket, maybe in an unusual color. For fur, a faux fur vest can be fantastic teenaged interpretation, while for the 20-somethings a fur scarf or gloves trimmed with fur look sophisticated.
Finally! Bright colors are carrying over into the fall season! Go bold with red and all its relatives, like mulberry, burgundy, and crimson. Emerald green makes a great statement. Deep golden yellow is gorgeous too. And my personal favorite, deep blue. Obviously these colors look great in a dress [see the red Rodarte to the right] but there is also a trend for brightly colored pants right now. Vivid shoes, bags or bangles are a great way to throw a little color into an ordinary outfit.

6) Strait Laced
This isn’t my favorite thing ever, but some designers have reinterpreted it to look new and fresh. Using lace in unexpected ways gives it a new lease on life and a very modern feel. I love the designs to the right!

I was flipping through a Vogue in the grocery store line today and fell in love with a page they did on lace dresses. So pretty and classy! :)And as far as bold goes, there is that one time I almost bought fuschia pink sailor pants, lol. I still wish I had! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love bold colors! Especially as accents... like shoes or bags or bangles. And Rachel, you totally shouldve bought the pants :)
